I guess the crockpot cook book was not a big draw for many. I only had 4 people sign up. I guess that meant better odds for those who did.

I Hate when My Kids go Back to School
I really hate when my kids go back to school! It means summer is over, it means getting back on a schedule, it means they are gone all day. This year though I have had one leave home to go to college, so one less coming home. I love when my kids are home for the summer. When school starts, I also always feel I need to get back to things I let slide to have more time with them. I am going to try to use my crock pot more to save some of my time. I have been experimenting with recipes and this has been fun.
I picked up an extra crock pot cook book to give away.

I want to post that I tried a couple more recipes on my Pinterest.
Okay I started with the BBQ chicken. I found I didn't have the BBQ sauce I thought I had, so I put chicken broth and then added spice called Kickin Chicken. I cooked them and then decided to try a biscuit with them. The recipe above shows you to make them from scratch, I had some frozen so I used them and baked them and then took them out and brushed the butter mixture on the top. Again I didn't have garlic powder. So instead of using powder and salt I just used garlic salt. Then I also added a sprinkle of colby jack cheese. Both recipes were very good. I would make them again. I need to make more recipes in my crock pot. I went out and bought a cookbook. Let's see what I come up with.
Wow August is Here
I sure feel like July flew by. I must buckle down and get some things done in my craft room. So lets start this month out with a give away!

July and time for Another Giveaway
Well, lets start July off with a Bang! I purchased four of these keepers. That is what they were called, but they are very small. They look like they would fit a ball of yarn, you could use them to keep your yarn from tangling from other stuff in your knitting or crochet bag, you could give it to a little girl for a tiny purse, or put make up in, or whatever you wish. They are by the company
Chic-a. I have a bag from them and love it. Okay so I am filling each one with surprise things, this one has notions for knitting or crocheting. I do have more plans for giveaways. I have been trying to do one a month, but if I have other excuses I will do more. Maybe an extra one could be when I get to 50 subscribers.
I wanted to tell you all about a new knitting book I have received. I just love it!
First off it is a nice size that would fit rather nicely in a knitting bag to take along. On the inside of the front cover it categorize the cast ons and on the back cover is the cast offs. Some of the categories are super stretchy, all purpose, decorative and more. Same goes for the cast offs. It gives you a page. I checked out the stretchy one because recently I watched a you tube video on just that. It was recommended by a fellow Ravelry friend. It is the same in the book. The book is spiral bound, I do love that. The pages are thick and there is many pictures and directions for each cast on and cast offs. It is just such a wonderful resource. It is definitely worth checking out. The price is excellent to. Now that I see the book, don't tell, but I would have paid more for it.
Yarn Give Away
I have been so busy with my daughters graduation party, fixin up the house, preparing for my daughter leaving in the fall and my youngest daughters drivers ed. I have not been on in a while to make a post, so I decided to have another giveaway. It is red, white and blue yarn in Brava. It is sports weight.
I bought some of this yarn a while back. I received it and thought it was soft, but not this super soft that I seen on a you tube video, that was a review of the yarn. Then I decided to use it for a project. I fell in love with the yarn. It knits up beautifully and is soft knit up. I really am sold on this yarn. The price is terrific to. So I decided to give this group of 3 colors of red, white and blue. This will give one of you a chance to try and maybe make something for the 4th.

I am behind on Everything.....
I used another card from my pintrest board for inspiration and came up with these two cards. I really like how they came out. Simplicity, but elegant. I look at them and feel I have a chance of becoming a good card creator.
I have been sorting through all my drawers, closets, shelves in my "Stitch Shack" (Craft room). I am still organizing and slimming down my goodies. I have things tore up a little because of something that needs to replaced with our pumps pressure gauge, so I just can't get everything put back and organized.

Another Give Away
This is a new size pouch. It is sized right between my Mini Aggy pouch and my Aggy pouch. Intstead of creating a middle aggy, lets just go for a whole different name. The measurements of this one is 7.75" wide x 4" Heigh x Gusset 1.25". The one I am showing above in the picture is the one I will be giving away in this give away. I would like you to leave a comment on this post with a suggestion of a name. Remember it can't be to long because it will go in my auction line on ebay and etsy. I was asked why do I name my pouches? Simply to know which size a person is talking about and then I give a name to the fabric to know what fabric or print. It makes it much easier when trying to communicate through email.
Instead of picking a person with the name I like, I am going to use the random picker website to pick a number and that comment will win the above pouch. I will need you to leave your email so I can contact you. I enjoy the give aways so we will have more. Sign up fo my blog if you are not now so you can be aware when I do have another. Give Away
The last pouch was a mini Izzy Pouch. This is my Mini Aggy Pouch. I had requests for a rectangle one so that is why this one came about. It is my second best seller. I was asked why I name my pouches. I do this so if someone writes me to ask about a pouch it sure is easier to know what they are talking about when they say the name of the print with the name of the pouch.
You can have a chance at winning this pouch, just simply leave a comment on this post with a way for me to contact you, so I can notify you if you win. I realize that many of you have purchased from me, but it is easier to have the information right here then try to look through my papers. I will use random.org choose a number and that will be the winner. I have changed the comments so they should post as soon as you write it, or within a couple of minutes.
