I am behind on Everything.....
I used another card from my pintrest board for inspiration and came up with these two cards. I really like how they came out. Simplicity, but elegant. I look at them and feel I have a chance of becoming a good card creator.
I have been sorting through all my drawers, closets, shelves in my "Stitch Shack" (Craft room). I am still organizing and slimming down my goodies. I have things tore up a little because of something that needs to replaced with our pumps pressure gauge, so I just can't get everything put back and organized.

Card Inspiration on Pintrest
Pintrest is a terrific source of inspirations for the paper crafter. I dream of being a wonderful card maker. I am far from it, but know I will only get better if I keep practicing. The above card is very simple, but it is much better in person then in my picture. There is texture on some of the layers of card stock. I pin all the cards I love and print out a few pictures in a small picture and use them to refer to. I seem to need inspiration to get me going on a card. It also would be a great source for scrapbookers. Maybe I can get some more done before the end of the week.
Did a few things....
I had a few minutes in the morning yesterday (Easter Day), so I finished putting the face, tail and bow on the above bunny. I have been slowly working my way through my big box of started toys and need to finish. Another cutie finished.
Then during the afternoon at the in-laws and finished up the scarf above at home. I love it because it is really easy to make and goes fast. I believe it will make a wonderful gift. It is super soft to. The pattern is here for free. I made just a couple of changes. I used size US 11 instead of 13. Then I did 9 more rows after the last cable and then did two rows of garter stitch and next row casted off, to make it match the beginning. I am sure I will make 1 or 2 more because I think it would be a wonderful Christmas gift.
Then I made a quick card, because I was in the mood for doing some cards. I only got one done and the cut outs are from my cricut cartridge Create a Critter. That cartridge is one of my favorites.

Birthdays and more Birthdays
February is a month full of Birthdays. My oldest daughter turns 21 and this cupcake I made from Svgcuts.com Birthday pack. It was a lot of fun to put together and I still think I will add some sequins or something on the top part. Can you guess her favorite color? Yes you are correct, blue.
As you can see below it is a container or box, I am putting a gift card in it.
This card is from the same pack. I love it. I made this in pink, because it was my first and I wasn't sure how all the pieces went together, I decided my first one would be not for a particular person. So I went with pink. I did boo boo, but you can't see it. That is a good thing. So now I can make more in specific colors. It is a very nice pack to purchase. There is also a cake on the pack that is round boxes with roses. I want to attempt that also. I will bring you more as I go.

I have been busy
I have been busy. Above is a dishcloth that I knitted. I am in a group on Ravelry of very nice ladies. We chat, share kind things, support each other. There is some very experienced knitters in the group. I know if I have a question on knitting one of them if not all of them will post something to help. Really great group of girls. One of the ladies gifted me a pattern for this washcloth. It is Sweetheart Washcloth by Susan B Anderson. It was a quick knit, done all in garter stitch. It even looks great without the outside edging. So I made it up right away because it is close to Valentines. I have been gift other patterns I am hoping to start on in February. I will show you them and tell you about them as I get them done.
This is a pattern by Retro lemon called Molly the traveling turtle it is a simple turtle to knit. In the Ravelry group Retro Lemon, they are having a contest this month. She would like you to knit the turtle, tell a little story. At the end of January, they will pick one and that person will win some yarn and a bag. I don't mind if I don't win. I looked at it as a way to get me to knit a pattern I had seen and had ideas about. So first I knit the turtle in the picture below. The pattern didn't have the shell edging, I had that idea myself from a turtle I used to doodle (draw). I named her Miss Lady Lavender. This was a requirement to name her and then to tell about her. I said how she likes to get into my craft room and get into the yarn and crawl on my sewing machine. Then I made the smaller version with beads. This is Miss Lady Lavender's little sister Sparkle Lavender. She loves beads because they sparkle. She is also made from a yarn that sparkles. I have another idea, but not sure I will have time to get it done. We will see.
I also have been making Valentines for a knitting group. I also made some more tiny bunnies to go with them. I must say I am in a mood to take a break from knitting them. I am up to 97 I have knit. I had so much fun making the cards above. I cut the critters on my cricut and the scallop edge hearts and the plain hearts on my Bosskut Gazelle. I plan on having a post about the machines later. I know there has been a couple of people asking me about the paper cutting machines. I am not an expert, but thought I would write a post or two about them, so if you decide you want to purchase one you will know about the ones I can tell you about. They are a lot of fun. there are machines of many price ranges, so everyone could do it. The Valentine's made me wish I was doing this when my kids were little and I could be making them for them. Oh well.

These lovely boxes I cut on my Cricut Expression. I used software to transfer them there. They are a free file on svgcuts. Although I don't know how long that file is free for. It has even more boxes on that free group. Do you believe they shared all these with us? That was just super sweet. They were one cut. So this means it cuts the box and you fold it together and glue some tabs and there you go. They are simple and quick and I made a bunch of them to put my gift cards in. I can see many possibilities for more uses. I absolutely love them. I love watching the svgcuts videos on youtube showing them putting them together. Mary has so many creative ideas.

I finished up some Halloween Cards
I sure did have fun creating these Halloween cards. I don't really have a bunch of people to send them to, but Halloween is such a fun time to decorate for and just make cards. I pulled out a lot of the Halloween stuff I have collected and started with these couple of cards. I do have more to come.

I really love trying New stuff for card Making
I love trying new items for cards. I realize that I have a lot to learn. I am a beginner in the card making. I feel I am doing a great job, but have a lot to learn and alot of techniques to learn. Along the way, I hope to share my experiences to help you with your attempts, as well as if you comment and share with me any added information.
It seems that you just can never have enough Birthday cards. I purchased some of the chipboard collection in the theme of Birthday. I made the 2 cards pictured with the pre-printed birthday theme. They have adhesive on the back, but they don't stick that well. I used additional glue to keep the pieces on. Then I had them pull on the card stock I used to create my cards. It seems that most of these little chipboard pieces have a little curve to them and that pulls on the card stock. I tried flattening them and made another card, but even though they were flat they still pulled up on the card. I think the cards are simple, but cute, but probably wont be using chipboard stickers anymore. Just stickers or my pieces I cut.
Has anyone used these and had the same result?
I made some Cards I want to share
I made a couple of Easter cards and didn't get a chance to upload. The above card, I purchased the bunny file from www.svgcuts.com
There were many different bunnies in this collection. I don't really have many to send Easter cards to, but there are so many cute ones I wanted to try. I think the bunnies can be used for other things. The Bees are stickers.
I found this collection of bunny rubber stamps from my local Michael's and they are sooooooo cute. They are many shapes and sizes. These also could be used for other cards. I have some other cards I experimented with, to share with you tomorrow.
Waterfall Card
I had fun making this card. It is called a waterfall card. I picked up the SVG file from http://www.svgcuts.com/ . Great place to get files for paper cutting machines. I use the Cricut Expression and have the software SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot).
This was a fun card. I am going to make more. You pull the bottom tab with the ribbon and the flowers go up and fold back behind.
I then used my rubber stamps to put on a happy Birthday once it is pulled out.
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge-Bee Card
Here is one of those cute critters from Create a Critter cartridge for your cricut. I just love that cartridge. I used a stampin up set to stamp the words on the front and the inside wording.
I will have more cards coming from this cartridge.

Create a Critter Cricut cartridge
My new cartridge is sooooooooo wonderful. This is definately one to have. Above I included a picture of the back of the box showing pictures. It is so unfair of judging cartridges. Although the pictures of these critters are so cute. There is so many other cute cuts on this cartridge. I recently have been telling someone that one of the better cartridges is the Paper doll Dress up. It has so many cuts on it that are not shown on the back. I would have never bought paper doll dress up because I wasn't interested in the paper dolls. I tried telling this someone about all the great cuts that are not shown on the back , they said they would check into it. You can't check into it by looking at the back of the box. If you have not downloaded the trial version of the Cricut Design Studio to see you wont see them unless you know someone who has the cartridge and you can look through their book. I purchased the cartridge after seeing sooooo many wonderful projects done with that cartridge never using the paper dolls. I have used it many times myself. I have been getting some key cartridges for my daughter who doesn't have many. That is one I purchased for her. By the way I often hear so much talk about the cartridges being so expensive and people can't afford to buy any. So not true! I understand living on a budget, I have to do that myself. The best way is to never pay full price for a cartridge. You can purchase from many stores when they have deals and sales. I know some people they should support their home town and not buy from the internet. I respect that, but what works best for me is this.... I have so many dollars I can spend on my hobby. Of course I want them to go as far as I can, so I find the best deal I can, to make those dollars stretch. For me I have found the best deals from websites online that sell cartridges. There start price is lower than anything I can get in my home town. Then they have sales. The other place best for me is ebay. Great prices. I have never spent full price for any cartridge. I can't always get them as soon as they come out, but that is okay. Okay with that being said. I love the Create a Critter cartridge. I have been cutting so many cuts and they all come out adorable. Here is a couple of cards I have made....

The adorable dragonfly is one you wont see on the back of the box. I am going to make another post to include the extra pictures, because I can't get them to post at the end of this.
One of my Mother's Day Cards
I made one of my Mother's day cards. I used a file from svgcuts. It was called Mother's Day card kit. There is a few cards in the collection. I didn't do mine in the same layout that they suggested, but used most of the cuts in this file. I really like the flowers and how they go together. I see in my picture you can't see all the detail with them. I used a gellyroll pen with glitter to add the blue sparkle. I really like this card and it could be used for more than a Mother's day card.

My Daughter Creation's on Her Cricut
My daughter received her Cricut Expression for Christmas. She makes wonderful cards (better than me) and she is only 13 years old. She has helped me out alot when I don't know how to do something or showing me new techniques, because she is not afraid to experiment. She decided she wanted to do the castle from "Once Upon a Princess" cartridge for the cricut. Here is her end result. I think she did a wonderful job. She said the directions were easy to follow.
Then the other day I got my Robotz cartridge in the mail and set it on the counter. I went and did something and came back and it was gone. I went right to her room and she turned around smiling. She already was cutting something with it.
Isn't this cute? There is 3 or 4 different 3D robotz on the cartridge. How fun this cartridge is going to be. I pre-ordered the create a critter cartridge, but the place I ordered it from says it is on backorder. I find that weird when our Michael's has it in the store. You would think since I pre-ordered I would have mine before others could just purchase it from the shelf. Oh well, I can't do anything about it. I just can't wait til it comes. It has such cute critters and so many people are creating cards with it. I bought an extra copy for my daughter as a surprise. It will be fun to see what she comes up with.

A Little Card for a Baby Girl
I have a baby shower to go to. I don't really need a card. A tag would work fine, but I love to make cards, so I compermissed and made a small card. I made the envelope, liner and baby rattle from Cricut cartridge Wild card. There is two baby cards on there and I did cut out one with a bassinet, but ended up not using it. I used the matching envelope. I love the scallop edge on the fold over flap. It looks lacy and girly. I loved the little rattle. I ended up cutting a piece of paper to fit the envelope and used rubber stamps. I added the flowers with the pink center and they are actually little pieces of sewing lace/trim. They were to small for me to do much with, so I decided to include them with my card making supplies. I really like how they look. Really a simple little card.

Another Fun Card
For my husbands birthday I created this card. The pieces coming from the handles, actually move because I used the black brads. The top opens and shuts also. You can see in the next picture.
I want to learn how to use my software for my Cricut so I can create something like this with my machine. I hand cut all of the pieces for the tool. I have the Cricut Design studio and SCAL2. It was still fun creating this card, but it does make me realize how wonderful it is to have my Cricut Expression cut the pieces and have them come out perfectly cut.

I found some cute items for my Cards
Yesterday I seen a card over on My Pink Stamper. She was making a wedding card for her sister. I have 2 wedding cards I need to make. I purchased some paper and just never went farther. I looked around for an inspiration. Her card was the trick. Her is my card and I really like how it came out. I used the Cricut Cartridge Wedding Solutions. I have had that cartridge and never used it. The pictures on the back of the boxes and packaging just doesn't do justice to the cuts. I cut the bride and groom and the heart lower down that is on the inside of my card.
I was wondering around Michaels trying to be inspired. I went down the wedding isle and found some cute little things to use on my cards.
Like the faux diamond ring above. It comes in a package with several in it for very little. I can't remember if it was 1.99 or 3.99. I also found some other items.

These love charms were 1.99. I also got some that said Thank you on them.
These are double heart charms and this package was 3.99 for 50. I think it is a good deal. These hearts can be used for alot more than wedding cards and scrapbook pages.
I also have a baby shower to go to and they had a section for babies. They had a lot of cute little things and I just bought a couple of things, but liked a lot more.
These were 1.99 for 20 charms. They had plastic pacifiers, safety pins and other little things.
